The Department of Tribal Development under the Government of Gujarat State has initiated a grant project in the scheme called Laptop Sahay Yojana Gujarat 2024.
This scheme is aimed at distribute new laptops to the students of indigenous, native, and tribal communities so that they can succeed in academics and make their career.
What is Laptop Sahay Yojana Gujarat 2024?
The state government of Gujarat has always been determined to work for the people, always standing in need.
The Laptop Sahay Yojana ( લેપટોપ સહાય યોજના ) is a wonderful example of the same. Under this scheme, children of workers registered under the Gujarat Labour Welfare Board will be given free laptops. Now it is responding directly to the difficulties that many students have experienced during this period of an epidemic and therefore, access to digital learning is a must nowadays. Laptop ownership is quite low.
The Gujarat government also has the intention that the free laptop scheme will encourage and provide the much-needed support to the students in their capacities to fulfill their ambitious wishes and desired goals. The financial aid in this package further subsidizes the interest on repayment of the loans by having the loan be paid at low interest rates that will favor families on the basis of 60 monthly installments.
But it’s worth noting here that if in case someone fails to pay back the loan on time, the interest rate will be imposed along with an additional 2.5%.

- The applicant should be a resident of Gujarat by domicile.
- For worker benefit, only children are allowed to work for the registered workers of the Gujarat Labour Welfare Board.

2. On the homepage, click the “Apply For Loan” tab at the top (see the screenshot below)
3. A new page will open, Now, click on the link to proceed with the registration.
4. After you have registered, log in to your account.
5. Under the “My Applications” page, click “Apply Now”.
6. Fill details on the form viz. property, loan, and guarantor details.
7. Select “Computer Machine” from the schemes list and enter the loan amount.
8. Upload relevant documents, like the guarantor’s nominated property information and the bank account in your name.
9. Then finally, click on “Submit”. You will be given your individual application number—just ensure that you keep a copy for yourself!
