SSC Stenographer 2023 Eligibility Criteria: SSC or Staff Selection Commission conducts SSC Stenographer Exam every year to recruit selected candidates for Stenographer Grade “C” and Grade “D” posts.

Nationality

To qualify for the SSC Stenographer 2023 exam, candidates must either be an Indian citizen or:

  • A subject in Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who immigrated to India before January 1, 1962, or
  • A person who has immigrated from East African countries including Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam
  • Applicants other than Indian nationals must possess a certificate of eligibility issued in their favor by the Government of India.

Educational qualification

To qualify for SSC Stenographer 2023 candidates must have passed 12th class or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Age limit

Candidates must know the age limit for SSC Stenographer Recruitment well before registering for the exam. The age limit for SSC Stenographer for Group C and Group D is given below:

Number of Test Attempts

As per Staff Selection Commission guidelines, there is no limit on number of attempts for SST Stenographer Exam. Candidates can take it as many times as possible while fulfilling other criteria.
