SSC MTS 2023 Exam Pattern: Staff Selection Commission has made major changes in the selection process and exam format of SSC MTS Exam.

SSC will release SSC MTS 2023 Recruitment Notification on 14th June 2023. The exam is conducted to fill Group C Multi-Tasking Staff Vacancies for various Ministers and Departments of Government of India.
As per the revised selection process, candidates will be selected based on Paper 1 (Online Mode) followed by Document Verification. But for MTS Havaldar post, there will be an additional round of physical standard after the online exam.

Marking Scheme for Paper 1
- The exam consists of 90 objective questions (multiple choice questions) carrying a total of 270 marks.
- Candidates will get three marks for each correct answer while one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Note that there is no negative marking in session 1 but there will be negative marking of 1 mark in session 2.
- Overall, there are four categories: numerical and mathematical ability; Reasoning ability and problem solving; public awareness; and English Language and Comprehension. Each section consists of 20 to 25 questions.
- The total duration of the exam is 90 minutes and the allotted time for VH and CP candidates is 120 minutes.

SSC MTS 2023 Exam Pattern FAQs
Answer-Yes, there is negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section 2 of Computer Based Examination.
As per answer-updated syllabus, applicants are selected based on Paper 1 which is conducted online followed by document verification. There is an additional round of PET/PST after Paper 1 for Havaldar posts.
Candidates will get 45 minutes to complete each session of the exam. Whereas for Writers eligible candidates will get 60 minutes.
