SSC CGL 2023 Salary
Candidates selected for various posts through the exam got good salary and many benefits like HRA, TA, DA etc. So, the competition for the exam is always tough. It is considered as one of the toughest national level competitive exams in India.
As the examination is conducted for various posts, the pay grades of all the posts are different. Toll in-hand salary for all posts is between Rs.2000. 25,500 to 151100 including HRA, TA, DA, Traveling Allowance etc.

SSC CGL 2023 Salary: Allowances and Benefits
Apart from the monthly basic pay, selectees will receive other allowances and benefits to compensate them for their work-related expenses.
1- House Rent Allowances
Employees will be given house rent allowance as per the category of the city where they are posted. These cities are divided into three categories: City X, City Y and City Z, the HRA of these cities is not less than Rs.5400 and Rs. 3600 and Rs. 1800 respectively.
The city-wise distribution of HRA is as follows:
- City X: 24% of basic pay
- City Y: 16% of basic pay
- City Z: 8% of basic pay
2- Dearness Allowance (DA)
According to the 7th Pay Commission, the dearness allowances paid to the employees are 34% of the basic pay. The Union Cabinet has increased DA from 17 percent to 34 percent for all employees working under the Central Government with effect from January 1, 2022.
3- Transport allowance
- For Cities: Rs. 3600
- For other places: Rs. 1800

Candidates who are selected for various posts through SSC CGL 2023 recruitment exam are entitled to additional perks and benefits apart from their monthly salary.
Medical facility: The employee selected under the test becomes a member of the Government of India Health Scheme which includes the benefit of free treatment in most of the leading hospitals of the country.
Paid Leave Benefits: SSC CGL employees are entitled to the benefits of Casual Leave, Medical Leave, Privilege Leave etc.
Gratuity Benefits: Employees get gratuity benefit from central government which helps in saving money for future.
Transport Allowance: Home to office and office to home transportation charges will be paid to the employees.
Mobile Bill Payment: There are certain sports under SSC CGL in which employees are given free SIM card and are entitled to receive a fixed amount every month.
National Pension Scheme: Employees will get membership in National Pension Scheme and will be issued PAN card. Under this scheme, a certain percentage of an employee’s salary is deducted and kept as contribution to the scheme. The amount is contributed by the employer.
