- The benefit of this scheme will be provided to the farmers of Maharashtra state.
- All farmers with less than 5 acres of land will get 3 HP (HP) pumps and 5 HP pumps for larger areas.
- In the first phase of the Atal Saur Krishi Pump Yojana, the government will commission 25,000 solar water pumps and in the second phase, 50,000 solar pumps. While in the third phase, the government distributes 25,000 solar pumps to the farmers.

Eligibility of Solar Agriculture Pump Scheme 2023
- Under this scheme, farmers having farmland with assured source of water are eligible. However, farmers with conventional electricity connections will not get the benefit of solar AG pumps from this scheme.
- Farmers of the area who are not electrified by conventional source of electricity (i.e. by MSEDCL).
- Farmers in remote and tribal areas
- Due to NOC from the Forest Department, many farmers are yet to get electrified.
