Delhi Poor Widow Daughter and Orphan Girls Marriage Scheme 2023
Under the Delhi Girls Marriage Scheme, the Delhi government will provide financial assistance of Rs 30000 for the marriage of daughters. This financial assistance is provided for the marriage of daughters belonging to economically backward families, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Minorities etc. As per Delhi Poor Widow Daughter & Orphan Girls Marriage Scheme, age of daughter should be 18 years or above at the time of marriage. To avail the benefit of this scheme, the application form should be submitted to the district office of the Women and Child Development Department 60 days before the marriage. The project is being implemented by the Department of Women and Child Development. Earlier, only families with annual income of Rs.60000 or less could benefit from this scheme, but now families with annual income of Rs.100000 or less can benefit from this scheme.
